Sports concussions can destroy the brain.
Boston University has released a new study showing once again how some violent sports can impact the brain. The high number of shocks that participants can receive when playing to sports such as football, hockey or boxing can lead to head injuries and other degenerative brain diseases. Those injuries can then create symptoms such as depression, memory loss and other cognitive problems.
As we continue to solidify our understanding of the brain and realize the importance of a good brain health, we will need to find better and innovative solutions to protect the head of those athletes.
